A party of
ten accordionists plus family & friends made the return visit to
Lorenskog 11th - 14th June. Once again our Norwegian hosts made us
very welcome and acted as our guides on various sight seeing
expeditions. The weekend started with an outdoor dance. Fortunately
the weather stayed fine and we could take advantage of the long
daylight hours. Friday we all visited the new Oslo opera house and
then split up into smaller groups to visit the Kon Tiki and Fram
museums, the Munch Collection, Viglen Park and the Royal Palace. Our
main concert was held at a local church on Friday night. A local
choir and guest accordionist also featured. A 'play together'
was held on Saturday morning with more sight seeing in the
afternoon. Saturday evening was party night. A chance to relax and
enjoy each others company and make good music together. Sunday
morning saw us making our farewells with just a few hours to take in
some more sights of Oslo before our evening flights. Another superb
weekend.
